Background Information

Pamela was the mother of Gerald Frank Niagara. She opened a fund for her son to start up his school district. She worked as a member of the Save The Children Foundation from 1944-1954.

Birth

Pamela was born on November 15, 1880, as Pamela Gerard Corning. She grew up raising cattle on her family farm.

Marriage

Pamela was married 2 times in 1910 and 1912.

In 1910 she married Edward John Brown. She divorced him officially in 1911 after he became abusive towards her.

In 1912 she married Mica Niagara who at the time was a businessman based in Niagara County, New York.

Children

In 1921, the Niagara's gave birth to their only child Gerald. He was born on September 21, 1921

Hospitalizations

Throughout her life, Pamela was hospitalized over 12 times, according to resources.

In 1905 she was admitted into the hospital for an apparent heat stroke. She stayed in the hospital for 2 days before being released.

The last known hospitalization occurred on April 19, 1958, when she reported feeling very sick. She was admitted and given fluids to help ease nausea, and a fever. On April 24, she reported feeling a tingling sensation on the right side of her body. She then reported that she could not feel her entire right side.

Death

Many speculated that her death was a drug overdose caused by her doctor. Many others believed that she self-overdosed. In an autopsy report, it showed that she had a major stroke the day prior to her death. The doctors said that when she had the stroke it caused a small tear in the Cerebral Cortex, which controls movement, breathing, bowel movements and other important human functions.
